Smooth order, helpful support

My recent purchase was a Nintendo Switch game and a couple of blind boxes. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. I had a question about combining shipping for a pre-order with an in-stock item, and customer service responded within a day, which was great. The items shipped out promptly after the pre-order released, and everything arrived in perfect condition. Packaging was very secure, good padding. Quality of the game and figures was top-notch, exactly what I expected from authentic Japanese goods. The whole experience was very positive, makes me confident ordering from them again.

Good product, fast shipping

I ordered a figma. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged. Product was exactly as described on their site. No issues at all with the order.

Consistent quality, reliable service

I've bought from Solaris Japan several times now, mostly for scale figures and sometimes for manga. This time I got a limited edition art book. Like always, the item was new and in perfect condition. Shipping took about the same time as my previous orders, around 10 days to the US. I keep coming back because their selection is good, and I trust that what I order is what I'll get. They're consistent, which is hard to find sometimes with international sellers. No complaints on this latest one either.

Amazing Gundam kit!

I just got the newest Master Grade Gunpla kit from them and it's fantastic! The detail is incredible. Everything arrived so fast and was packed super well, no dents on the box at all. I'm already eyeing my next purchase. This store is my favorite for models, you have to check them out!

Overall good, minor delivery snag

I bought a few booster packs of Yu-Gi-Oh cards and an acrylic stand. The items were correctly listed and authentic, which is important for cards. Packaging was very secure, no bent cards or anything. Shipping was a bit slower than I hoped, took 14 days to reach me in California, which felt a little long. Everything arrived safely though, and the quality of the stand was excellent. I'd definitely use them again, maybe just choose a faster shipping option next time if available.

How's Solaris Japan compare to AmiAmi for figures? Debating where to get this new Nendoroid.

N Nina 2 months ago

Solaris sometimes has things AmiAmi is sold out of, especially for older or pre-owned stuff. Shipping can be a bit more flexible with Solaris too, I've found.

AmiAmi often has better prices on brand new releases if you pre-order really early, but Solaris's pre-owned selection is way better and their grading is pretty reliable. Depends what you're looking for.

Does Solaris Japan charge for pre-orders right away or when the item ships?

P Paula 1 month ago

I think they charge upfront for pre-orders. That's been my experience with them.

They definitely charge you when you place the pre-order, not when it ships. Just a heads up if you're planning on ordering multiple things.

What's the deal with their return policy? What if I get a figure and it's not what I expected or damaged?

L Laura 2 months ago

Returns are generally okay, but they usually require you to contact them pretty quickly after receiving it if there's an issue. For damaged stuff, they're usually good about it.

I had to return a pre-owned figure once because the condition wasn't quite what I thought from the pics. Their customer service was helpful, but I had to pay for return shipping. Definitely check their policy details on their site though, it's all laid out there.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a few figures from Solaris. are they reliable for legit stuff? like, not bootlegs or anything?

R Rachel D. 1 month ago

Yeah, they're super legit. I've bought tons of figures from them over the years, never gotten a fake. They even have a whole thing about it on their site.

Totally authentic. They're one of the main go-to's for Japanese collectibles. You're good.

Are there any easy ways to get a discount on my first order? Or like, a signup bonus?

C Cody 2 months ago

Yeah, if you sign up for their newsletter, they usually send you a discount code for your first purchase. I got one a while back.

I think they do a first order discount for newsletter sign-ups. Also, keep an eye on their social media, sometimes they drop codes there for events.
